Driver Dies In Rollover Crash On U.S. 101 In Healdsburg: CHP
The fatal crash happened on southbound U.S. 101 and caused major traffic delays, the California Highway Patrol

HEALDSBURG, CA — A man died Thursday afternoon in a rollover crash along southbound U.S. Highway 101 in Healdsburg, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash involved one vehicle, a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, and was reported shortly after 3 p.m. north of Westside Road. Emergency personnel found the Toyota off the roadway with the driver still inside.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP's preliminary investigation indicated the man was traveling southbound in the slow lane when the truck veered to the right for reasons yet to be determined.
The truck went off the roadway and rolled down an embankment. It did not appear the Toyota driver was speeding, the CHP said.

The Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner's Office was expected to identify the driver once his next of kin were properly notified.
The crash closed the southbound slow lane, causing major traffic delays during the evening commute, according to the CHP.
Traffic gradually eased once all lanes reopened shortly after 6 p.m.
