Driver Leads Healdsburg Police On 90-MPH Pursuit
When cops caught up with him, they allegedly found him in possession of guns and drugs.

HEALDSBURG, CA — Healdsburg police arrested a man on suspicion of possession of drugs and weapons after a pursuit on U.S. Highway 101 early Wednesday morning. Fabian Anthony Flores Gonzalez, 18, of Healdsburg, failed to yield to a traffic stop for speeding in his Dodge Avenger on northbound Highway 101 at the Dry Creek Road off-ramp around 12:20 a.m., police said.
Officers Craig Smith and Nick Doherty and Sgt. Luis Rodriguez pursued Gonzalez's vehicle as it drove north on the highway at speeds of up to 90 mph, police said.
Gonzalez slowed down in a construction zone in Geyserville and stopped on the highway median north of Canyon Road. He fled west on foot but was taken into custody after a brief struggle, police said.

Gonzalez was in possession of a loaded short-barrel rifle and handgun and officers found several pounds of marijuana, psilocybin and cash in his vehicle, police said.
He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of evading police, possession of a concealed firearm and an illegal assault weapon and transportation of drugs, police said.
