Earthquake Near Cloverdale, Healdsburg Rattles Sonoma County

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake rattled the northern Sonoma County area around 5:18 p.m. Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake struck at a depth of 3 miles below the earth's surface and it was centered about 5 miles south of Cloverdale, 15 miles north of Healdsburg, 18 miles north of Guerneville and 30 miles north of Santa Rosa, the USGS said.

The earthquake was felt in Cloverdale, Cazadero, Geyserville, Guerneville, Healdsburg, Petaluma and Novato, according to responses reported to the USGS. Did YOU feel it?
