Healdsburg Hwy 101 Shooting: Verbal Argument Led To Violence, CHP Says
Two men who were wounded in a shooting on U.S. Highway 101 in Healdsburg on Thursday had gotten into a verbal altercation, the CHP says.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- Two men who were seriously wounded in a shooting on U.S. Highway 101 in Healdsburg on Thursday afternoon had gotten into a verbal altercation prior to the shooting, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two men initially stopped at a food truck parked on Lytton Springs Road, where the verbal altercation occurred, and then left in their white Honda Accord, heading south on the highway.
Once on the highway, at about 12:10 p.m., suspects in a truck then fired several shots at the men in the Honda. The men in the Honda then pulled over onto the right side of Highway 101, just north of Westside Road, CHP officials said. Both the driver and passenger in the Honda suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital, where they are in serious condition, according to the CHP.

Both lanes of southbound Highway 101 were shut down for hours at Dry Creek Road as investigators searched and processed the crime scene. The highway was reopened by about 4 p.m.
No arrests have been made and detailed description of the suspect truck was not immediately available.
