Wine Country's SingleThread Climbs To 'Top 1000 List'

HEALDSBURG, CA — The celebrated Michelin-starred restaurant tucked away on North Street reached new heights this year after being named for a second consecutive year as one of this planet's best restaurants.

SingleThread was ranked among the world's No. 1 restaurants in La Liste’s 2025 "Top 1,000," putting it in the same orbit as some of the finest restaurants on the planet. This year, 10 venues tied for the top score, including SingleThread.

Already a destination experience in Sonoma County and nationally, with its entry into the same stratosphere, SingleThread is now counted among the planet’s most pilgrimage-worthy dining destinations. La Liste also recognized SingleThread as the #1 Restaurant in the United States.

"We are deeply honored to share that SingleThread has been named La Liste’s 2026 #1 Restaurant USA and #1 Restaurant in the world," the team led by Katina and Kyle Connaughton said. "This extraordinary recognition is a testament to the passion, drive, and artistry of our entire team, from the fields of our farm to our dining room, and every hand in between."

The team called the distinction humbling, and thanked La Liste for "the tremendous recognition, and to our farmers, chefs, artisans, partners, and guests who continue to inspire and support us on this journey."

Located about 67 miles north of San Francisco, SingleThread has climbed many of the "best restaurant" lists. The restaurant was awarded three stars by Michelin and a Michelin Green Star for sustainability practices.

La Liste draws on evaluations from over 1,100 international outlets to create the ranked guide to the world’s leading restaurants, according to the organization. This year, the United States matched France in the number of establishments in the Top 1000. And, for the first time, Northern California's Single Thread Farm and New York's Le Bernardin shared first place.
