Healdsburg Under Flood Advisory; Minor Russian River Flooding Expected
A National Weather Service flood advisory was extended through Monday evening for Healdsburg and Sonoma County.

HEALDSBURG, CA ā As another in a series of atmospheric rivers dumped rain Monday on Healdsburg, the North Bay was under a flood advisory and several roads were closed due to flooding.
A National Weather Service flood advisory issued Monday morning was expected to remain in effect until 5:45 p.m. Monday for Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties.
"Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall and runoff continues," the National Weather Service said. "Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

"At 2:33 p.m., gauge reports indicated elevated water levels due to excessive rainfall and runoff. This is causing urban and small-stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include...Santa Rosa, Napa, Petaluma, San Rafael, Novato, Rohnert Park, Windsor, American Canyon, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Larkspur, Healdsburg, Sonoma, Corte Madera, Tiburon, Cloverdale, Fairfax, Sebastopol, Cotati and St. Helena."
In Healdsburg, rain is expected Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a break in the rain Thursday, according to AccuWeather.

Once the flood advisory expires Monday, a flood watch was expected to remain in effect until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Flood Warning For Russian River
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Russian River at Johnsons Beach near Guerneville from late Monday night until further notice.
Minor flooding is forecast. Lower Mill Street in Guerneville and Old Bohemian Highway in Monte Rio are expected to flood.
The river was expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight Monday and continue rising to 32 feet. This crest compares to a previous crest of 31.8 feet on April 5, 1941.
City Of Healdsburg Storm Update
A flood watch remains in effect for Sonoma County until Tuesday afternoon. At this time, maximum projected levels are still anticipated to remain below the flood stage in Healdsburg, the city said in an update Monday afternoon.
A portion of Railroad Park was closed due to anticipated localized flooding specific to that area.
The City of Healdsburgās sandbag station remains available at the Healdsburg Community Center, Healdsburg Ave.
