Healdsburg Woman Arrested For DUI After Crash Injures Infant Daughter: CHP

CHP officers say they arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI and child endangerment after a vehicle crash that injured her infant daughter.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- California Highway Patrol officers say they've arrested a Healdsburg woman on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment after a vehicle crash that injured her infant daughter Monday night.

Stacy Galluzi, 38, was driving a 1997 Jeep Wrangler south on U.S. Highway 101 north of the Westside Road exit near Healdsburg around 8:30 p.m. on April 24, CHP Officer Steve Fricke said.

The Jeep became disabled after it struck a guardrail on the right side of the road, then veered to the left and struck a concrete center divider, Fricke said.

When the driver of a Toyota Tacoma slowed to avoid hitting the Jeep, it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Traverse that then broad-sided the Jeep, Fricke said.

Galluzi and her daughter were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, and the infant was then flown to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, Fricke said.
