Man Killed In Tractor Incident In Sonoma County
The California Highway Patrol and fire personnel responded to the fatality in wine country northwest of Santa Rosa.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A man was killed in an incident involving a tractor Monday in an area of Sonoma County wine country northwest of Santa Rosa.
California Highway Patrol officers and emergency medical personnel responded around 3:52 p.m. Monday to a private property off Piner Road near Willowside Road, Santa Rosa CHP Officer David deRutte said.
"It was reported a tractor was involved and the victim was deceased," deRutte said.

The CHP's preliminary investigation indicated an 83-year-old man was driving the tractor on the property. He got out of the tractor and was then struck by the tractor, deRutte said.
The tractor rolled until it stopped against a metal building.

A family member found the victim and called 911.
Patch reached out to the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner's Office for information on the man's identity.
