This Is Not Happening, Healdsburg: Holiday Scam Targets Would-Be Vendors At Non-Existent Event

HEALDSBURG, CA — A nationwide scam is targeting would-be vendors at a non-existent event in Healdsburg, police said.

The scam is circulating online with a flyer inviting vendors to sign up for a "Joyful Christmas Crafts Market" in Healdsburg.

But this event appears not to be happening in Healdsburg or anywhere, according to the Healdsburg Police Department. This one is probably trying to take advantage of Healdsburg's community events put on by local groups, police said in a statement advising merchants to contact organizers directly to verify that they are real people running a real market.
