Porsche Driver Cited On US 101 Going Over Twice The Speed Limit: CHP

The driver was ticketed on U.S. Highway 101 near Healdsburg, the California Highway Patrol said.

HEALDSBURG, CA —Not everyone in Sonoma County knew of the California Highway Patrol's recent Memorial Day weekend maximum enforcement period.

As all available CHP officers were working the roadways to ensure all safely arrived at their destinations, one was working speed enforcement May 26 on northbound U.S. Highway 101 at Lytton Springs Road when she saw a Porsche speeding.

The officer used a LIDAR device and confirmed the speed of the Porsche was 133 mph, the CHP said.
