Southwest Airlines Is Coming To Wine Country In April 2026
Southwest Airlines will begin service in 2026 at the Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport but bookings open Thursday.

SONOMA COUNTY — Southwest Airlines announced service at the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport.
Southwest Airlines will begin service in April 2026. However, the airline will start booking flights on Thursday. That will mean a closer base for travelers flying into Sonoma and Napa counties.
Southwest will be flying to San Diego, Burbank, Las Vegas, and Denver.

The addition brings the number of carriers to three, including Alaska Airlines and American Airlines. Avelo Airlines suspended service in August.
The airport currently offers only domestic non-stop flights. But Southwest, one of the largest U.S. carriers, serves 100 destinations.

The airport, in Santa Rosa, is owned and operated by the County of Sonoma.
