Stabbing In Healdsburg: Victim Hospitalized, Suspect Remains On The Loose, Police Say

A 23-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday after he was stabbed in front of a community center in Healdsburg; police seek the suspect.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A 23-year-old man was taken to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after he was stabbed in front of a community center in Healdsburg, and police are asking for the public's help to find the suspect.

Just before 4 p.m. on April 18, officers responded to the Healdsburg Community Center at 1557 Healdsburg Ave. for a report of a stabbing, according to police.

Officers say that two people had gotten into an altercation, resulting in one person stabbing the other person in the arm. The suspect fled before officers arrived.

The unidentified victim was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. Officers were able to identify the suspect as 22-year-old Luis Enrique Gonzalez of Healdsburg, seen in the above photo.

Neither the victim nor the suspect were associated with the community center, police said.

The community center, which hosts an after school program for children throughout the week, was placed on lockdown after the incident. No children were present during the stabbing, police said.
