Suspected Prowler Shot, Killed By Cloverdale Police
BREAKING: Petaluma police are handling the investigation into the officer-involved shooting.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A person wielding a weapon was shot and killed by Cloverdale police early Saturday morning, police said. At 1:46 a.m., officers went to the 100 block of Garden Circle after someone called and told police someone was prowling around the area.
Police said officers found the suspect in a backyard with a weapon. Police said the suspect came at officers and was wielding the weapon when officers shot him.
Officers gave the suspect medical attention and he was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police said no officers were injured.
