Teen arrested, 2 injured in Healdsburg stabbing

Police investigating fight on Adeline Way.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Monday after two men were stabbed during what police said was a "large fight involving muliple parties" on Adeline Way near Exchange Avenue in Healdsburg sometime after 9 p.m.

The teen, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Healdsburg Pollice Lt. Kevin Young said police recovered a knife that was believed to be used in the inicident at a residence on Adeline Way.

Young said police were notified at 9:27 p.m. Monday that two men,  ages 20 and 23, had arrived at Healdsburg District Hospital with multiple stab wounds.  Their current medical conditiion is unknown, he said.

After police determined that the injuries had occurred at a fight, they began interviewing witnesses. That led to contact with the 17-year-old juvenile on Powell Avenue, at which time he was arrested.

Young said this morning that the names of the injured men, who remain hospitalized, will be released when the police finish their investigation. He added that Healdsburg detectives were continuing with interviews today and plan to forward the case to juvenile authorities.
