Child Safety Seat Inspection Offered At Hermosa Beach Safety Fair

Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death for children age 1 to 13 in the U.S., according to the NHTSA.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA — The Hermosa Beach Police Department will be offering a child safety seat inspection this weekend at the department-hosted Community Safety Fair.

The event goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hermosa Beach Community Center, 710 Pier Ave. The event will include various safety demonstrations, free child seat inspection, games, free food, earthquake simulator, prizes, face painting, balloon art, free child ID kits and more.

Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death for children age 1 to 13 in the U.S., according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A correctly installed safety seat can dramatically reduce the chance of death in a crash. That's why the Hermosa Beach Police Department periodically offer these free child safety seat inspections.
