Man Arrested in Theft of Fireman’s Dodge Truck, Police Say
The man took the personal keys out of a backpack at the Hermosa Beach fire station, according to police.

A man who snuck into the on Nov. 30 and stole a firefighter’s personal Dodge truck now has been arrested, Hermosa Beach police said Thursday.
Richard Pollock of Torrance entered the fire station on Pier Avenue around 4:40 a.m., according to police.
The garage door at the station was left open as fire officials responded to a call just moments prior, police said.

Pollock, 52, was captured on video surveillance as he began to search a backpack in the department’s living quarters and found keys to the Dodge truck.
He left a bicycle he was riding behind for the truck, police said.

Pollock later was found in Victorville, Calif., and arrested on suspicion of attempting to "trade-in" the stolen truck at a Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership, according to police.
The Torrance District Attorney’s office filed counts of burglary, possession of stolen property, and vehicle theft against Pollock, police said.
