Mira Costa High School Makes Top 100 Statewide in New Rankings

The school comes in behind three other South Bay public high schools in the latest survey.

Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach is among the South Bay’s top-ranked public high schools, according to Niche, which compiles school rankings.

In the latest set of statewide rankings, Mira Costa comes in at No. 63 -- behind Palos Verdes Peninsula High at No. 9, Redondo Union at No. 22, and Palos Verdes High at No. 28. PVP is located in Rolling Hills Estates, RUHS is in Redondo Beach, and PV High is in Palos Verdes Estates.

Students in Hermosa Beach, which does not offer a public high school, typically may attend either Redondo Union or Mira Costa.

Other Los Angeles schools that made the top 100 include Granada Hills Charter (No. 1 in the state), Troy in Fullerton (No. 3 in California), San Marino (No. 7), Oxford Academy in Cypress (No. 12), and California Academy of Mathematics & Science in Carson (No. 16).
