Police Blotter: Suspected DUI
Officers arrest a man after residents report a driver crashing into barricades, and a Pier Avenue business is robbed.

The loud noise residents heard on 7th Street last week was a car crashing into barricades and walls, according to police. The driver was suspected of driving drunk and with a suspended license.
Collision Course
A man drove his car through 7th Street, near Prospect Avenue, on Dec. 19, running into parked vehicles, crashing barricades and damaging a block wall, according to police reports. Nearby residents called police around 1:45 a.m. after hearing the noise.

Officers were able to quickly locate the driver after he fled the scene. The man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Officers later learned that he was also driving with a suspended license. An investigation continues.
Business Robbed

Police have not yet identified the person who broke into a business on the 500 block of Pier Avenue on Dec. 20 at about 6:15 p.m. The suspect ran away with a large amount of money that was hidden in a secured cabinet.
Stealing from Cars
Someone stole items out of a vehicle parked near the 300 block of the Strand on Dec. 22, at about 8:35 a.m. The car was unlocked at the time of the robbery. Later that morning, around 11 a.m., a locked vehicle was broken into and items inside were taken. The vehicle was parked on 5th Street.
