Redondo Union High Wins Pacific Shores Tournament
The boys basketball team's victory isn't all it's cracked up to be, according to coach Reggie Morris Jr.

When isn’t winning a tournament enough?
When you’re on the Redondo Union High School boys varsity basketball team and Reggie Morris Jr. is your head coach.
“We didn’t play their team,” Morris Jr. said of the Long Beach Poly squad his team triumphed over for the title Saturday night. “They’re missing three of their players — two big guys and their best player,” the coach told the Daily Breeze.

“They played us very well without their three main guys. There’s no solace in this victory at all. We did what we were supposed to do. We had everybody on deck and they didn’t, so if we play them again, we’ll see if we’re better than them.”
For the Sea Hawks, the official score was 64-49 and Cameron Williams was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player with teammates Morgan Means and Elijah Nesbit making the all-tournament team, according to the Easy Reader.
