SKECHERS is collecting any new, packaged and unopened physical education equipment on Sunday to support local schools.
The Manhattan Beach-based company plans to collect the goods from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hermosa Beach Pier Plaza on Sunday, Aug. 18 before the Hermosa Beach Summer Concert.
The items will benefit school districts that are a part of the "Give to Get" program including Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes and Redondo Beach, according to the company.
Recommended donation items include:
- softballs
- basketballs
- footballs
- tennis balls
- softball equipment
- baseball gloves
- soccer balls
- jump ropes
- orange cones
- helmets
- bouncy balls
- volleyballs
- hula hoops
