Try a Guinness Cupcake in Honor of St. Patrick's Day

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Frosted Cupcakery on Hermosa Avenue is baking up a special treat: a chocolate Guinness cupcake.

The chocolate cupcake, made with Guinness beer with an Irish cream buttercream frosting, is just one of the ways that the bakery is celebrating the holiday.

Many of Frosted's cupcakes, including its chocolate and red velvet varieties, will have St. Patrick's Day-themed toppings.

This will be Frosted Cupcakery's first St. Patrick's Day in Hermosa Beach since it opened in May 2012. "We're all kind of excited," said employee Lydia Tavera.

The Guinness and St. Patrick's Day-themed cupcakes will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Frosted Cupcakery is located at 1227 Hermosa Ave. They're open from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
