Umami to Open with Hermosa-Inspired Burger

Umami Burger not only prepares to debut its this week, but also a new, beach-inspired burger.

"Inspired by fish tacos and the , the Baja Burger is tempura fried cod, crushed avocado and cabbage slaw with fire-roasted salsa and a chipotle lime aioli on a signature Umami Burger bun," according to a restaurant news release (see accompanying menus under photo.)

The company also has announced plans to open doors at 1040 Hermosa Ave. on Thursday, pending inspections.

Hours for the new Umami restaurant in Hermosa Beach will be Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
