Concert for the Arts

Hermosa 24

Where and when: Hermosa Beach Pier, 1 Pier Ave., Hermosa Beach; Saturday to Sunday, 7 a.m.

Why go: Help support Hermosa schools with on the beach, which was started by a Hermosa Beach dad whose 83.04-mile run last year received a Guinness World Record.

Big Head Todd and The Monsters

Where and when: Saint Rocke, 142 Pacific Coast Hwy., Hermosa Beach; Saturday, 9 p.m.

Why go: Hear songs like “It’s Alright” and “Please Don’t Tell Her” live on stage. Opening set by Latch Key Kid.

Father’s Day Volleyball

Where and when: Manhattan Beach Pier, 100 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Manhattan Beach; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy some friendly competition with this recreational tournament—all participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and fun giveaways.
