Weekend: Fiesta Takes Over Hermosa
Get ready for plenty of sunshine and music this holiday weekend, and don't miss the pancake breakfast.

Along with the biannual Fiesta Hermosa arts and crafts fair, Memorial Day weekend happenings include concerts and a pancake breakfast. Here are some local events you won’t want to miss:
40 Oz. To Freedom
Where and when: Saint Rocke, 142 PCH, Hermosa Beach; Friday, 9 p.m.

Fiesta Hermosa
Where and when: Pier and Hermosa avenues, Hermosa Beach; Saturday to Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Why go: Dubbed “the largest arts and crafts fair in Southern California,” exhibits hundreds of artists as well as live music, food, family activities and a charity beer and wine garden.

Kickoff Barbecue
Where and when: Whole Foods Market, 405 N. PCH, Redondo Beach; Saturday, 12 to 3 p.m.
Why go: Get ready for the weekend with a burgers, sides and drinks will be available at Whole Foods to help kick off the holiday.

Jazz Quartet
Where and when: Lido Di Manhattan, 1550 Rosecrans Ave., Manhattan Beach; Saturday, 7 p.m.
Why go: What better way to spend a beautiful Saturday night than ?

Pancake Breakfast
Where and when: Hermosa Beach Fire Department, 540 Pier Ave., Hermosa Beach; Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why go: Firefighters cook a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit and coffee to raise money for multiple charities as part of the Fiesta Hermosa activities.

Veteran’s Park Festival
Where and when: Veteran's park, 300 Esplanade, Redondo Beach; Monday, 1 to 3 p.m.
Why go: Join the community at this holiday park festival, which features remembrances and comments dedicated to lost in war. Open to the public, the Memorial Day event also includes music and BBQ.
