What Does the City of Hermosa Beach Need to Take Action On?

With talk of oil, infrastructure, sewer systems, re-paving streets, accommodating expanding school enrollments, bolstering and upgrading older facilities and potential new hotels, there indeed is a lot for Hermosa Beach residents to ponder.

To see what's on your minds, we asked readers on the Hermosa Beach Patch Facebook page, "As a Hermosa Beach resident, what are your greatest concerns, what would you like to see the city do and/or what would you like to see happen in the city?"

Here are some of the comments:

Will Mulligan: "Fix the Pier Put a bait shop/Burger stand back the way it was back in the day!"

Diana Andrews: "A small dog run at South Park would be awesome, and fencing in in the playgrounds at Valley Park and South Park would be much appreciated as well!"

Jana Lynn: "Build a sustainable Solar infrastructure in the Hermosa Beach City Yard. We need to protect our resources and the health of our community and beaches. Let's move forward instead of backwards. http://www.businessinsider.com/rise-of-solar-power-2013-5?op=1"
Jeff Cohn: "Fix South Hermosa oil drilling issue once and for all that will spur development and revitalize the Cypress business area."
Jana Lynn: "Solar panels on all the rooftops in Hermosa.
