Woman Found Dead, Police Investigating

A woman was found dead Saturday morning in an apartment in the 700 block of Manhattan Avenue, according to Hermosa Beach police.

Around 5 a.m. officials responded to a report of an argument followed by the sound of a gunshot, police said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they saw a man standing outside. The man was later detained, they said.

Officers then found the dead woman inside an apartment where the argument reportedly occurred.

The names of the man and woman have not yet been released.
