The Wall Las Memorias Project to Host Dating Seminar for HIV+ Community

The Wall Las Memorias Project will host a dating workshop for HIV Positive community members on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 1-3 p.m. at their 111 N. Avenue 56 location in Highland Park. 

The workshop, HIV POZ & Dating: Making it Work, will tackle the challenges HIV Positive individuals face relative to dating in the information age.

The workshop will provide open communication in a therapeutic environment and also identify & provide solutions for handling the complexities they are presently faced with.

Topics to be discussed include disclosure, safer sex practice discussions, dating resources and handling rejection due to HIV status.  A certified therapist with specialty in gay and HIV clients will be conducting the majority of the workshop and will be available throughout the event.

For human service/public health professionals working with the HIV-infected/affected and queer communities, this workshop will accentuate a commitment to meet the changing needs of HIV-positive individuals.
