This sci-fi dystopian film is clever, irresistible and visually stunning. Set in post-apocalyptic Ice Age, the film stars an international cast, led by Chris Evans and Jamie Bell, to illustrate Earthโ€™s remaining survivors, rich or poor, all confined to the โ€œSnowpiercer,โ€ a futuristic train circling the globe for over 17 years. Expect non-stop action as the passengers in the steerage become increasingly dispirited.

#2 โ€œThe Ballad of Buster Scruggsโ€ (2018) โ€” Tim Blake Nelson, Zoe Kazan, James Franco; directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen


Coen Brosโ€™ first Netflix original series is an anthology of six varied stories about life in the Old Westโ€” all with fateful endings. The movie features a self-important troubadour (Tim Blake Nelson); a despicable yet likable bank robber (James Franco); a gallivanting impresario (Liam Neeson); a bearded prospector on a mission (Tom Waits); a frontier bride (Zoe Kazan); and a couple of bounty hunters (Brendan Gleeson and Jonjo Oโ€™Neil).

#3 โ€œCocoโ€ (2017) โ€” Anthony Gonzalez, Gael Garcia Bernal, directed by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina


The joyous, uplifting and visually thrilling film about the importance of family will put a smile on everyone's face and tears in their eyes. The endearing animated tale follows the story of Miguel (voiced by Anthony Gonzalez), who aspires to become a famous musician, despite his family's puzzling ancestral ban on music. This is one super Marvel-ous movie โ€” even if you haven't seen the first two "Thor" installments. In the film, the Norse God of thunder (Chris Hemsworth) embarks on an intergalactic quest with Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to face off against his super villain sister, Hela (Cate Blanchett), and prevent her from gaining power in the realm of Asgard.
