Aerosmith Hollywood Star Unveiling Postponed Due to Weather
The debut of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame honoring the legendary rock band has been put off because of ongoing rain in the region.

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- The unveiling of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame honoring legendary rock band Aerosmith was postponed today due to ongoing rains in the Southland, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Originally, the Chamber said the unveiling would be held regardless of weather, but then backtracked. The unveiling, which was originally planned for 11:30 am Thursday, Feb. 14, has not yet been rescheduled.
The star is to be the 2,657th since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961 with the first 1,558 stars. The ceremony had been planned to be livestreamed on walkoffame.com.

Formed in 1970 in Boston by Tyler, lead guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer, the band added guitarist Brad Whitford in 1971.
Aerosmith has sold more than 150 million albums, beginning with the 1973 release of its self-titled debut album. In addition to a 2001 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and four Grammys, the group has received eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards and 12 MTV Video Music Awards.

The band is set to begin a residency in Las Vegas titled ``Deuces Are Wild'' April 6 at the Park MGM hotel and casino set to run through Dec. 4.
