East Hollywood Farmer's Market Opens Thursday
The new market will be located at the Hollywood/Western Metro station plaza.

Life will get a little more convenient for residents and public transit riders near the Hollywood/Western Metro station.
On Thursdays from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. the East Hollywood Certified Farmer's Market will offer fresh produce at "very affordable prices" for the community, points out the East Hollywood Neighborhood Council.
April 5 marks opening day for the second certified weekly farmers market serving East Hollywood. (The first is the Los Angeles Medical Center Farmer’s Market, which has operated at Barnsdall Art Park on Wednesdays since June 2009.)

The new market is made possible through a grant of more than $67,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, according to a news release.
The Thai Community Development Center will operate the market.
