A fire broke out at a single-family home early Thursday morning.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — It took 70 firefighters about an hour and a half to extinguish a fire that broke out in a vacant two-story Craftsman home in Hollywood early Thursday morning.
Crews responded to 1744 N. Wilton Place, between Hollywood Boulevard and Franklin Avenue, at around midnight in response to a call about an exterior fire with both floors fully involved, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Several fire companies were set to remain on the scene for overhaul duties. Representatives from the city Department of Transportation, Department of Building and Safety and the Southern California Gas Company were contacted, firefighters said.
