Fire Damages Two East Hollywood Homes Wednesday Night

LAFD was forced to take a defensive position as the fire burned in the attic of the primary home.

HOLLYWOOD, CA โ€” A fire sprang up at an East Hollywood home Wednesday night and damaged two buildings, Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The blaze was reported around 9:27 p.m. at 1412 N Alexandria Ave. Firefighters arrived to find a one story home, which may have been vacant, with fire showing from the rear of the house and another building exposed to flames.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in the exposed building, and were forced to take a defensive position against the primary house as flames continued in the attic. A knockdown was called at 10:04 p.m. thanks to the work of 36 firefighters.
