WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA โ€” After 95 long years in West Hollywood, Greenblatt's Deli and Fine Wines closed their doors for the final time on Wednesday. The news was first reported by Eater, who said owners were having trouble running the restaurant and finding enough staff to keep operations afloat.

A source at the restaurant told Eater owner Jeff Kavin wanted to close before the Jewish high holidays, which begin in September, because they're typically an "extremely busy time" for Greenblatt's.

"Greenblatt's has closed," read a somber banner at the top of the restaurant's website. "Thanks to all our loyal lustomers for a great 95 years."

The restaurant was opened by Herman Greenblatt in 1926, and was purchased by the Kavin family in the 1940s. With it's central location near the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, the deli has served up sandwiches to plenty of Hollywood heroes, including Marilyn Monroe, Bing Crosby, Billie Holliday and F. Scott Fitzgerald among many others.
