Greetings! We are pleased to send you our Hollywood Studio District Neighborhood Council e-newsletter! Twice a month we will send out an email similiar to this with information about upcoming committee and board meetings, important activities in our neighborhood, and ways you can be involved.
General Board Meeting TOMORROW at *Alternate Location* - Monday, April 9th at 6:30 p.m.
Our next board meeting will take place at theAssistance League of Southern California, 1370 N. St. Andrews Place, Los Angeles 90028. Our next meeting will be at our regular meeting location of Santa Monica Community Charter. At this meeting we will have a report from City officials, a Treasurer's report, review several funding requests, and more. Full agenda

Citizens Community Police Academy
On May 30, 2012, Operations-West Bureau will conduct a Citizen Community Police Academy for adults. The eleven-week course will be held at the Recruit Training Center located at 5651 W. Manchester, Los Angeles, 90045. The class will meet each Wednesday evening between 6:30 and 9:30 pm. The course will conclude with a graduation ceremony on August 8, 2012. Through the Community Police Academy, enrolled students will be encouraged to build a lasting partnership with the Department, with the ultimate goal of reducing crime and improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods. Summer Job Opportunity at Lemon Grove Park

NEW Neighborhood Farmer's Market!
The new East Hollywood Certified Farmer's Market at the Hollywood/Western Metro stop opened on April 5th. It will take place every Thursday from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m and is operated by the Thai CDC. Due to the sponsorship of several organizations including the Hollywood Studio District Neighborhood Council (HSDNC), the vendors are able to accept EBT payment. We are thrilled by this new venue for residents to access fresh fruits, vegetables and other healthy foods at such a convenient location!
