Home Invasion Robbery Turns Into Standoff In Hollywood Hills: LAPD
A man who tried to break in to a Hollywood Hills home was arrested after a six-hour standoff with police early Thursday morning.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man armed with a knife was arrested early Thursday morning after an hours-long standoff that began after he tried to break into a Hollywood Hills home while its residents were home.
Police responded to 3140 Hollyridge Drive in the Hollywoodland area at around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in response to reports of a home invasion, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The residents, who were home at the time of the invasion, called police, KTLA reported.

Police found the suspect, a 35-to-50-year-old man, armed with a knife when they arrived.
The man refused officers' demands to cooperate, which resulted in his arrest and a standoff with SWAT teams that lasted until at least 2:20 a.m., KTLA reported.

No injuries were immediately reported, and the man's name was not readily available.
