Tom Holland re-unites with Jon Watts for the sequel to their 2017 box office hit, โ€œSpider-Man: Coming Home.โ€ A tale about teenage angst, puppy love and human preservation, the follow-up film takes audiences on a European vacation gone wild and imaginative.

โ€œFar From Homeโ€ opens with a solemn send-off to the befallen Avengers who perished during Thanosโ€™s time blip that obliterated half of mankindโ€™s population, just as Peter Parker (Holland) prepares for his upcoming high-school trip to Europe.

Once in Europe, Peter is determined to be a normal kid, enjoying a nice summer vacation with his pals and pursuing his unrequited crush, MJ (Zendaya). However, Avengersโ€™ caretaker Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) suddenly shows up summoning Peter to help vanquish powerful foes. Begrudgingly, the young man complies.

As Peterโ€™s summer vacation unfolds, so does the adventures of Spider-Man in the streets of London, Venice, Prague and Berlin, where our hero will have to battle the menacing Elementhals. Along the way, he will cross paths with the mysterious Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal), who is a self-proclaimed superhero from another universe.

Will Peter be able to get a date with MJ? Will Spider-Man prevail?

See it. Itโ€™s another awesome, highly entertaining Spidey movie, notwithstanding its convoluted third act, where the screenplay squanders it on bewildering CGIs.

โ€œMidsommarโ€ โ€” Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor; directed by Ari Aster

Surprises abound in Ari Asterโ€™s horror movie, โ€œMidsommar,โ€ a twisted tale about love and confusion.

In the movie, Jack Reynor and Florence Pugh play two lovers, Christian (Reynor) and Dani (Pugh), whose relationship is on the verge of collapse. However, Christian is determined not to end things. And when he gets an opportunity to salvage their relationship, he takes it.

Alongside their friends Josh (William Jackson Harper) and Mark (Will Poulter), the couple embark on a holiday trip to a midsummer festival in a remote Scandinavian village, where the sun rises at 4 a.m. and sets after 10 p.m. Unbeknownst to them all, their excursion will become a trail of nightmarish bloodbath along the way.

See it. Itโ€™s maddeningly good; however, its slow-burn pace will test your patience.
