KTLA, WGN Blackout Over As Dispute With Spectrum Ends

Tribune Broadcasting and Charter Communications Inc. ended their standoff with a deal that returns Tribune's local television stations to LA

LOS ANGELES, CA — Tribune Broadcasting and Charter Communications Inc. announced Friday that they've reached a comprehensive agreement to resume transmitting Tribune's local television stations and carrying its cable entertainment network, WGN America, on Spectrum's cable systems.

"We are pleased to have reached this agreement that will return Tribune Broadcasting local television stations and WGN America to Spectrum customers and Tribune's viewers," the two entities said in a joint statement.

Charter had complained that Tribune wanted too much money for its products.

The terms of their agreement were not announced.
