Employee Fatally Shot At Shoe Palace On Melrose Avenue
Police said the employee tried to break up an argument in front of the store when he was fatally shot.

HOLLYWOOD, CA โ An employee was fatally shot at the Shoe Palace store in the Melrose district while trying to break up an argument about a shoe raffle in front of the store.
The shooting took place around 12:30 p.m. at the Shoe Palace store at the intersection of Melrose and Genesee Avenues. Police said there was a dispute "between a group of males and females" in front of the store, and that as store employee Jayren Bradford attempted to break it up, he was shot by one of the men.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A man in his 20s wearing dark clothing shot the victim and fled northbound on Genesee Avenue in a silver Toyota Camry with a temporary license plate number BC10D32, police said.

Keyshawn Williams, described Bradford as a great co-worker.
"He was an outgoing peer who always wanted to make friends so once I got here," Williams told Fox 11. "He made me feel welcome like this is somewhere you want to be."
