Model Sues Bill Cosby Over Playboy Mansion Incident

A 25-year-old model sued Bill Cosby today in federal court, alleging the comedian sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008.

The civil suit by Chloe Goins comes days after county prosecutors began reviewing the findings of a criminal investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department into the woman’s allegations.

Cosby has never been charged with a crime, despite similar allegations by about 50 women across the country, and has denied any wrongdoing.

According to the complaint, Cosby gave Goins -- who was 18 at the time -- a drink, after which she blacked out and awoke naked in bed next to the comedian, who was licking her toes and masturbating.

“Goins awoke to find that her breasts were wet and sticky, as if someone had been licking them, and Bill Cosby was biting on one of her toes as he crouched at the end of the bed,” the suit alleges.

When Cosby realized she was conscious, he quickly pulled up his pants and left the room, according to the lawsuit.

“Today marks a critical step in empowering women to address the rape culture that has become so prevalent in the entertainment industry and in the American conversation,” said Goins’ attorney, Spencer Kuvin.

Cosby’s attorney has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing by the now-78-year- old comedian and has dismissed the allegations as baseless.

Goins met with LAPD detectives in January.

Last December, county prosecutors declined to file charges against Cosby over allegations that he sexually assaulted one of attorney Gloria Allred’s clients, Judy Huth, who claims the star assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 when she was 15 years old. Prosecutors said they could not pursue a case because the statute of limitations had expired.

Huth is suing the comedian in state court, and he is scheduled to undergo a deposition in the case on Friday.

Goins says she has suffered permanent emotional distress, psychological and psychiatric trauma, and loss of self-esteem as a result of the alleged assault, which has also led her “into a perverse and unhealthy way of life.”

Goins, who says she has also suffered loss of income, is seeking at least $75,000 in damages.
