New Mexican Restaurant to Open in Cahuenga Corridor

In the Cahuenga Corridor, a new Mexican restaurant is in the works.

3Dog Cantina, which is replacing Capitol City at 1615 N Cahuenga Blvd., plans to open soon following more than a year of construction, reports Eater L.A.

An opening is planned for early to mid-September, owner Curtis Nysmith told Eater L.A. He described the Spacecraft-designed space as an "airy, classic cantina." 

Expect the menu to feature fresh ingredients and custom made drinks and margaritas. Chef Efrain Cuevas is planning to serve Oysters Con Ceviche, Crispy Pork Belly Tacos and more.

Cuevas recently wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page, "The kitchen is almost ready for some homemade Mexican cooking. Chiles Rellenos, Birria, Al Pastor, Ostiones, Pastel de Tres Leches, and some killer cocktails. Can't wait!"
