Police Search For East Hollywood Hit-And-Run Driver
Police are asking for the public's help finding a driver wanted in connection to a hit-and-run crash.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police on Friday asked for help locating a driver who struck a 22-year-old woman crossing an East Hollywood street, leaving her seriously injured.
The crash occurred at Western Avenue and Clinton Street on Oct. 16 at around 3:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Surveillance video provided by the LAPD shows a long-haired man getting out of a black Mercedes-Benz sedan parked in the middle of Clinton Street on the west side of Western Avenue.

The woman is shown in the video apparently trying to avoid the man before she tries to cross Western, when she was struck by a gray sedan — possibly a Toyota Camry — heading northbound.
The man appeared to walk away immediately before the crash and left the scene without identifying himself as a potential witness, police said.

Paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
The city has a standing award of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of a hit-and-run offender or a resolution through civil compromise.
