Felon With Loaded Gun Arrested At OC 'No Kings' Protest: Police

A 25-year-old felon was arrested in Huntington Beach during Saturday's "No Kings" protest, police said.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A 25-year-old felon was arrested after threatening a fight at the "No Kings" rally in Huntington Beach Saturday.

Police in the area responded to the situation at around 3:30 p.m., when a man in the area of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway was seen actively shouting at a pedestrian and challenging him to a fight, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers found that the man — identified as Eduardo Pineda — was a convicted felone and had active warrants for his arrest related to previous charges of battery and vandalism, police said.

Police also found a loaded handgun that Pineda was not legally permitted to carry, authorities said.

Eduardo Pineda was arrested Saturday for being in possession of a loaded firearm, challenging another person to a fight in public and outstanding warrants including battery and vandalism.
