With many graduates rooted in the Valley and districts facing looming shortages, this locally grown cohort could directly shape Imperial County schools and student support in the coming years.

Imperial Valley healthcare provider announces nurse training program (kyma.com) — A major new nurse residency program at Imperial Valley hospitals aims to grow a local nursing workforce that will keep up with the region’s growing healthcare needs. New graduates will train at Pioneers Memorial and El Centro Regional, with 28 nurses already hired to strengthen care for Imperial County communities, including Imperial residents.
