Body Of Apparent Homicide Victim Turns Up In San Ysidro
The unidentified victim, who appeared to have been in his 20s or 30s, had suffered suspicious wounds to his upper body.
SAN DIEGO, CA β The body of an apparent homicide victim was found Wednesday morning near a stretch of railroad tracks in San Ysidro.
The discovery near the intersection of Smythe Avenue and Sunset Lane was reported about 3:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
The unidentified victim, who appeared to have been in his 20s or 30s, had suffered suspicious wounds to his upper body.

"Homicide detectives were called to the scene and are currently investigating the incident," Lt. Andra Brown said Wednesday afternoon. "It is early in the investigation, and little is known about the circumstances surrounding the man's death. Detectives are attempting to locate evidence and any possible witnesses."
The county Medical Examiner's Office was called in to take custody of the body for identification and autopsy purposes.
