A win would have brought the Mar Vista team to an even .500 overall and league record.
The Mar Vista High School Mariners lost 5-0 to the Chula Vista High School Spartans in a game Tuesday in Chula Vista.
After a four-game winning streak for the varsity squad, Mar Vista has lost their last two games, bringing the team to a 6-8-2 overall record and 1-3 in Metro South Bay league play, according to Coach Gisela Wolfe.
Next up: Sweetwater High School at Mar Vista Thursday at 3 p.m.
