IB Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Bayshore Bikeway
The motorcycle traveled down an embankment and into a pole. A female passenger was injured.
Donnie Gordon, 55, of Imperial Beach died early Wednesday morning after the motorcycle he was riding on the Bayshore Bikeway when careened down an embankment and into a pole supporting a chain link fence near Industrial Boulevard and Main Street in Chula Vista, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
A woman riding on the back of the motorcycle was knocked unconscious and transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital. Her name and condition were unavailable.
The accident reportedly happened sometime before 4:30 a.m.
A bicyclist riding by found the two and called 911. Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene.
