• Solar-plus-battery energy project in Jacumba gets $416M in funding (fresnobee.com) — Imperial Beach households are among nearly a million customers set to receive power from a massive new solar-and-battery project being built in Jacumba Hot Springs. The JVR Energy Park, expected online in fall 2026, will feed all its electricity to San Diego Community Power, adding capacity for about 57,000 homes while sparking debate in Jacumba over its scale and local impacts.
