CITY TREASURER:

The City Treasurer is an appointed position selected by the City Council to oversee the City’s financial investment portfolio. Working with the Investment and Financing Advisory Committee, the City Treasurer presents monthly investment reports and an annual investment policy to the City Council for adoption.  While the position is not an employment position with the City, the City Council does provide a monthly stipend of $1,200.

 APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE:

It is anticipated that the City Council will consider the appointment to fill the vacancy at their regular meeting to be held on May 17, 2022. Interested persons should submit a completed “Application to Fill City Treasurer Vacancy” form by Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, One Civic Center Drive, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011 or online.  Original completed applications must be physically received by the deadline.  No fax, emailed, postmarked applications will be accepted.
