Police Identify Arrestees From Parole Sweep
Crescenta Valley Sheriff's deputies and Glendale Police officers arrested eight people during Thursday morning's parole and probation compliance check.

Although La Cañada and La Crescenta were two of the cities swept during a parole and probation check Thursday, none of the arrestees live in these towns.
State and local authorities checked 44 locations to confirm parole-probation condition compliance. Twenty-two people were determined to have been in compliance, and eight were arrested, according to Sgt. Robert Hahnlein.
Sgt. Debra Herman of the on Friday listed as those arrested: David Murphy, 50, of Sunland on suspicion of a parole violation; Altadena residents Tezitzalal Saavedra, 32, on suspicion of child endangerment and Ronnie Joseph, 34, on suspicion of a parole violation. Herman said Saavedra was not a parolee, but living in a parolee's home. Deputies made the arrest after authorities observed drug consumption around an infant.

"We're still looking for more people who weren't home,'' Lorenz added.
Authorities seized drugs and three firearms during Thursday morning's sweep, a multi-jurisdictional operation prompted by an increase in area property crimes and residential burglaries, Hahnlein's press release states.
In addition to La Cañada, the Probation/Parole Compliance Operation covered La Crescenta, Montrose, Sunland, Tujunga, Lake View Terrace, Pasadena and Altadena.
Participating in the sweep were the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Community Oriented Policing Teams, the Glendale Police Department, the Los Angeles County Probation Department and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (state parole).
