1,200 Lose Power in LCF, Montrose
Southern California Edison is investigating a spate of recent power outages in La Cañada.
Residents in La Cañada and Montrose briefly lost power Wednesday, following a planned outage Monday and a sparking transformer that left Alveo Road residents concerned about safety.
Southern California Edison spokesman Paul Klein said Wednesday that 1,260 power outages occurred at 11:26 a.m. in La Cañada and Montrose. All were restored by 11:37 a.m. The interruptions affected an area from Ramsdell Avenue to the west to Commonwealth Avenue to the east, he said.
Klein is checking on the reason for the service interruption, but did not think it was associated with Monday's sparking transformer on Alveo Road.
